I'll still watch it, it will still be a car based light-entertainment show with celebrity guests which is all it ever was anyway (post revamp).

Clarkson and Hammond were the reasons I didn't watch Top Gear. I might actually give the new series a look. Sabine is an outrageously talented driver, and she's got a dry sense of humour that should work well with British audiences.

There is only one person I despise almost as much as Clarkson and that is Chris Evans, so it will still be a big no-no for me. Never heard of the other two. Evans probably insisted on working with a couple of nobodies so he could be the main man and give it large. Wanker.

Just can’t see this working myself, considering the footsteps they have to follow, nothing against Chris Evans but he is a ginger! Then the BBC had to throw in the token woman as per there new equality and diversity policy, and a German at that? Then this Chris Harris who I have never even heard of.
Good luck to them though, the whole format will need to change otherwise it’s down the toilet.

Gonna be really interesting to see how it stacks up against the new clarkson Amazon vehicle!
Sabine will be the standout star of this, dry humour and will drive the Arse off of the other two!

Not that I particularly liked Clarkson and his MATES but Evans will do his wanky audience participation producer Will bollocks on this and it'll come crashing down just like it did for him last time. Wanker. BBC have a shambles on their hands.

If the BBC has any sense then I'm sure they will have revised projections about how much revenue the new-look Top Gear will generate.
The chances of it equalling the previous format are slim. That was a bit of a one-off and probably a bit of a happy accident (for the BBC) too.
I'm sure they will be striving to keep the brand as saleable as possible, but it's likely that the targets from international sales etc will be lower than before.

I don't actually mind Evans.
I just don't trust the BBC to turning something that was their cash cow into something that will more successful.

It's a big risk scud. They have to get it right as top gear brought in so much revenue. (Most watched factual tv show in the whole world) If they make it into s bog standard motoring show no-one will give a shit, no-one will watch it and they won't be able to distribute it.
There will be differences of course, but I think they have to try and keep it as an entertainment show. You are right that what made the show a success was the three of them, rather than that it was about cars. They can't hope to replicate that, but they can't make it just a car magazine show or it's just a waste of money.
